ACTS Secondary School
Started in 1997, today ACTS Secondary School is a growing institution located strategically in the “Electronic City”,
Bangalore’s “Silicon Valley”. The school is affiliated to the ICSE – Indian Council of Secondary Education and has enjoyed
nearly 100% results in the final examinations over the past two years. ACTS Secondary School boasts of a well equipped campus
and buildings and aims to prepare children for India and its rapid development. Children from nearby poorer homes are given
special attention and a number of these have grown into bright performers.

Kachhwa Christian School
One of the first outside of Bangalore ACTS projects, started in Varanasi in 1981 and then shifted 35 kms away to a little
town Kachhwa. An existing Hospital – the Kachhwa Christian Hospital invited ACTS to start a school for
the children of its own staff.
Responding to the need, ACTS started the Kachhwa Christian School and today nearly 1000 children from villages as far away
as 20 to 25 kms come to the school. The school is headed up by Mr. G. Yesuratnam.
Kachhwa Christian School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
Nirmala Schools
Nirmala Vidyalaya in Bangalore and Nirmala Niketan in West Bengal are schools named after Nirmala Gnanakan, the younger
sister of Dr Ken and Dr. Richard Gnanakan who died of cancer when she was Principal of Calcutta Girls School.
Nirmala Vidyalaya is an integrated primary school in Bangalore. Nirmala Niketan in Kalyani, West Bengal under the leadership of
Ms. Daisy Dey is growing rapidly and will be moving to a sprawling campus next year.
ACTS Academy
Plans are afoot to launch an “international” style school near Shillong in Meghalaya. Top educationists and Government
personnel are being contacted for advice on the formation of the school.
Building plans have already commenced and admissions will be opened for the programme starting 2010.
Timpany Schools
Three prestigious schools located in Visakhapatnam on the East Coast, started by the Canadian Baptist Mission have received
major management and academic inputs from ACTS.
The schools together are over 4000 children and ably led and managed by Director Mrs. Harsha Chiranjeevi; Principals
Mrs. Nalini Nelson and Mrs. Annie Cherian and General Manager Mr. David Samuel.
ACTS School, Hyderabad
The ACTS School in Hyderabad has gradually grown from a well accepted primary school and will soon become a full fledged
High School.
The School is managed by ACTS Board Vice Chairman Rev. Dr. Jeyawanth Samuel.
Integrated Primary Schools and Crèches
One of ACTS core competence is in its integrated programmes and demonstrated in its primary schools. Mainly catering to
rural and slum children these schools operate in the non-formal integrated models.
Most of these children come from poorer homes and given opportunities to prove their potential. Successful students are
placed in our other schools.
